The Medea Project – Kharon
Self Released
Released 20June 25

The Medea Project, South African formed, but England is now their home, have fired in with their 2nd full length, ‘Kharon’. It is a dark, primal slab of Gothic Doom, provided by Brett Minnie (Guitars/Vocals) and Pauline Silver (Drums and Percussion).
The haunting coldness of the album is omnipresent. It permeates your soul, delving into your bones leaving you with a feeling of joyful despair. It is a strangled, deliberately confusing album that consistently has you thinking.
There are downsides, the gothic nature may not be for all and it impacts the true ‘doom’ sound. But for most, this will hit home and the songs have enough about them for multiple listens.
Kharon is a strong sophomore album that will make you yearn for the 3rd.
Best track – Upon Your Bones
